A second grader at Kent Elementary School in Carmel received an emotional surprise and belated Christmas gift.
Staff Sgt. Alfonso Cautillo returned home early from his fifth deployment of serving his country.
He wasn’t expecting to be home until March.
"It feels great. I was overseas last time, and I didn't get to surprise her in a school. I wanted to, but this is a great feeling, being here surprising her,” said Cautillo.
Cautillo expects to be home for a while before his next deployment and will spend quality time with his family.
