The Google Pixel 6a is expected to hit shelves in a few months, but only with a 60 Hz display. The mid-range smartphone could feature 30 W charging too for a 4,800 mAh battery. The Pixel 6a is tipped to be significantly more expensive than the Pixel 5a, though.

Yesterday, a release date for the Pixel 6a emerged, covered separately. Now, @Shadow_Leak has revealed several specifications for the device, some of which had already leaked. As we have discussed previously, the Pixel 6a is expected to arrive with three Sony cameras, the IMX355, IMX363 and IMX386. In short, the Pixel 6a will combine cameras from the Pixel 5 and the Pixel 6 series, with Google still not ready to relinquish the IMX363.

Additionally, @Shadow_Leak asserts that the Pixel 6a will arrive with 6 GB or 8 GB of RAM. Typically, Google releases one RAM configuration for a Pixel smartphone, unlike its competitors. Hence, it seems improbable that Google will switch this approach for the Pixel 6a. Allegedly, Google plans to use a 60 Hz panel in the Pixel 6a as well, mirroring previous Pixel a series smartphones.

@Shadow_Leak reinforces that the Pixel 6a will launch with a 6.2-inch display too, like the Pixel 4a 5G. The former will be smaller than the latter because of its narrower bezels and slightly taller aspect ratio. Furthermore, @Shadow_Leak claims that the Pixel 6a has a 4,800 mAh battery that supports 30 W charging, outstripping the Pixel 5a and the Pixel 6's capacities.

Allegedly, the Pixel 6a will retail for approximately US$600, US$150 more than the Pixel 5a. It is unclear if the Pixel 6a will be available in more markets than the Pixel 5a. The Pixel 6a is thought to be launching in May 2022, possibly alongside the Pixel Watch.
