Meet the Battle Creek Enquirer Athletes of the Week, presented by Oaklawn Hospital.

Each week during the high school winter sports season, we will ask our readers to vote for the top performance of the week in all the fall sports, taking a look at events from Monday-Saturday.

Make sure to vote early and often for your pick, as the winner will get an Enquirer Athlete of the Week T-shirt. Fans can vote for their favorite athlete until Wednesday at 5 p.m

Carson Wager

Harper Creek Boys Swimming & Diving

Harper Creek hosted an invitational on Saturday with a loaded field with Carson Wager finishing first in the 100 butterfly in a time of 59.14 and first in the 100 backstroke in 59.73, while also participating in the first-place 400 free relay.

Hayden Mueller

Lakeview Boys Basketball

Hayden Mueller helped Lakeview end a five-game losing streak with a monster game in a victory over Loy Norrix. The senior forward had 17 points and 17 rebounds as the Spartans won, 60-43.

Ethan Crabtree

Coldwater Boys Basketball

Ethan Crabtree helped Coldwater remain in the top spot in the Interstate 8 Conference after beating both Pennfield and Harper Creek during the week in games where those teams were tied for first place at the time. Crabtree ended the week with 24 points, seven rebounds and five assists against the Beavers.

Peyton Russell

Lakeview Girls Basketball

The power forward has helped Lakeview to an undefeated season. It was also a big week individually as she signed to compete at the next level at Adrian College in two sports - where she will play women's basketball and softball.
