Dave Grohl recently released his autobiographical book chronicling “ a life lived loud ,” and the collection has significantly resonated with many of the iconic musician’s fans — including fellow artists. Charles Kelley of Lady A took to social media to share his thoughts on the book as he nears the end, hailing Grohl “the coolest guy in the world” and a “national treasure.”

“This book is full of down to earth wisdom, love, loss, and more rock and roll adventures than u can imagine,” Kelley wrote in the caption of his Instagram post , applauding Grohl’s work. “I haven’t been able to put it down each morning. You’re a national treasure man.” He added that any reader — musician or otherwise — can appreciate the book as a “great lesson of following your heart and enjoying every up and down that life inevitably brings us all.”

Grohl released The Storyteller: Tales of Life and Music in October. “I’ve never really been one to collect stuff, but I do collect moments,” the Foo Fighters frontman previously explained of his inspiration to write the book. “My life flashes before my eyes every single day. And in writing this book, I've tried to capture those moments as best I can. …The idea was to choose the stories that best describe what it's like to be behind the curtain and on the inside of the music, from the drum stool looking out to playing music, have this beautiful family , travel the world, meet people from all walks of life. I never take any of this for granted.”
