State Senator asks National Fuel Gas to relocate headquarters to Pennsylvania

PITTSBURGH (Newsradio KDKA) - National Fuel Gas, an energy company located in Williamsville, New York, could be looking for a new headquarters, after New York Gov. Kathy Hochul backed a proposed ban on all natural gas hookups in new buildings throughout the state.

Pennsylvania State Senator Dan Laughlin, of Erie, has invited the natural gas company to relocate their headquarters to the region he represents.

"Natural gas is one of the cleanest fuels that we have on the planet," Laughlin said during the KDKA Radio Morning Show Monday.

Laughlin is in the process of scheduling a meeting with the CEO of the energy producer.

National Fuel Gas currently employs over 2,000 people.
