DETROIT (WWJ) -- More than $45,000 is being rewarded to anyone who can provide information leading to an arrest in the murder of a 21-year-old student athlete.
Crime Stoppers of Michigan is rewarding $45,500 for tips in the death of Devin George who was murdered in Detroit last year.
Investigators said George was driving his Jeep Cherokee on Ohio Street near Oakman Avenue when someone opened fire.
He crashed his car in an attempt to get away.
George was attending Minnesota State College where he was studying broadcasting and had a dream of playing in the NFL.
Anyone with information about the murder can anonymously submit tips at 1-800-SPEAK-UP, or 800-773-2587. Rewards are paid when tips lead to an arrest, Crime Stoppers does not wait for a conviction.
