Bensley brings drum ‘n’ bass to mau5trap with two new singles
Bensley has made his mau5trap debut with not one, but two new singles. “Leaving” and “Debonair” find the emerging producer diving into familiar territory with a pair of new drum ‘n’ bass originals.
“Leaving” finds Bensley continuing on his unique style, marked by memorable vocal work that lifts the tune to a new space. Filled with sweet melodies and soft harmonies, the track carries a lighter tone that serves as a contrast to “Debonair.” Aspects of “Debonair” feature similar soundscapes to Bensley’s earlier release, “Dream On,” which appeared on his Cascade EP released last summer, though Bensley’s latest highlight evident strides in the producer’s broadening production palate.
The newest release sees Bensley take the instrumentals in a darker direction, with heavier sounds that create an eerie atmosphere—perfect for mau5trap’s sonic aesthetic.
