After Britney Spears and her sister, Jamie Lynn Spears, butted heads last week, the Princess of Pop's fiancé, Sam Asghari, is believed to be trying to keep the peace.
As Jamie Lynn opened up about her life while promoting her memoir, Things I Should Have Said, earlier this month, Britney made scathing claims on social media about how her younger sis never had to work for anything in her life. Britney's attorney, Mathew Rosengart, also issued a cease and desist, but Jamie Lynn's team hit back with a legal letter of their own, accusing the team of "attempting to constrain her right and ability to speak the truth."
While things between the Spears' continue to worsen, Sam is pushing for the two to "stop waging war publicly," because it is damaging for both of them, Daily Star reported.
An insider told the publication that the 27-year-old actor has "acted as the go between despite the breakdown in trust," noting: "The barbs and angry posts and comments fly around, but Sam has been the one trying to keep them talking and hoping for a resolution."
The source added that while Britney and Jamie Lynn text each other directly, Sam is trying to get them to talk through their issues because their sibling drama has blown up into a huge scandal.

Most of the Zoey 101 alum's communication with her big sister goes through Sam, according to the outlet. "Jamie Lynn doesn’t have a strong relationship with her nephews and feels very iced out of Britney’s life," the source revealed.
This comes after an OK! insider spilled the "Toxic" singer is weeding people out of her life and that it's unlikely her family will be invited to her upcoming wedding to Sam. "She’s refusing all of Jamie Lynn’s attempts to make nice because she doesn’t trust her motives," the source claimed.
Meanwhile, the hunk has been supporting his fiancée amid the drama. As reported by OK!, he posted a photo on Instagram last week of the lovebirds cuddled up next to each other on a couch with a view of the city lights behind them. "The world is ours baby 🦁," he captioned the post.
The couple has been linked since 2016. Sam popped the question in September, but it's not clear when they plan on getting hitched.
