After a notable wait, Lionel Messi made his return to action in Paris Saint-Germain’s Ligue 1 home fixture against Reims.

Messi opened the match on the bench, but PSG manager Mauricio Pochettino did opt to provide him with playing time minutes in the second half. The Argentine forward completed 26 successful passes and created two goal-scoring chances for teammates in 27 minutes of action.

A Coupe de France knockout stage fixture against OGC Nice is now up next for Messi and PSG.
