Neighbours spoilers follow.

Neighbours' Leo Tanaka makes a major decision over his daughter Abigail in episodes airing next week.

Leo (Tim Kano) will ask David Tanaka (Takaya Honda) and Aaron Brennan (Matt Wilson) to take over as Abigail's fathers, as he struggles in the aftermath of Britney Barnes' death and an accident that sees his baby taken to hospital.

In upcoming scenes on Channel 5 and 10 Peach, Leo is overwhelmed with guilt and fear as Abigail gets checked over at the hospital.

The accident that saw Abigail falling off the couch happened when Leo turned his back.

David and Aaron, growing increasingly concerned, try to be there for Leo.

Leo's friends and family are also worried about Leo and some invite him to join them on a fishing trip, hoping to lift his spirits and take his mind off of recent events. But the trip fails to help Leo.

The people at Number 32 notice that Leo has become very distant from Abigail, and they attempt to resolve this.

Leo eventually admits that the reason why he's been avoiding spending time with Abigail is because he's worried Abigail will end up accidentally hurt again in his care.

David and Aaron do their best to help him, but Leo continues to struggle.

In his desperation, he asks David and Aaron, who are currently raising baby Isla with Nicolette Stone (Charlotte Chimes), to become Abigail's parents. How will David and Aaron respond?

Of course, David and Aaron were Abigail's parents for a brief period of time, when Paul Robinson brought Abigail to Ramsay Street believing she was Isla.
