CBS Sports ranks teams hit hardest by underclassmen NFL Draft entries

While many college football standouts made the decision to forego their remaining NCAA eligibility and enter the 2022 NFL Draft, multiple underclassmen chose to leave college early and begin their professional careers.

As all college football teams with standout underclassmen would like to hold onto them all throughout their collegiate careers, they can’t keep them from staying put. Because of that, multiple teams have been hit hard by underclassmen NFL Draft entries over the years – especially in 2021-22.

With all the underclassmen that have declared for the 2022 NFL Draft, CBS Sports ranked the top-10 college football teams that have been hit the hardest by underclassmen departing early for the NFL.

Here’s the complete ranking from CBS Sports, from Nos. 1-10.

1.) Texas A&M Aggies: Offensive lineman Kenyon Green, defensive lineman DeMarvin Leal, tight end Jalen Wydermyer and running back Isaiah Spiller.

2.) Michigan Wolverines: Defensive linemen Aidan Hutchinson and Chris Hinton, edge rusher David Ojabo and safety Daxton Hill.

3.) San Diego State Aztecs: Edge rusher Cameron Thomas, kicker Matt Araiza and offensive tackle William Dunkle.

4.) Georgia Bulldogs: Linebacker Nakobe Dean, defensive end Travon Walker, defensive back Lewis Cline, running back Zamir White and wide receiver George Pickens.

5.) Oregon Ducks: Defensive end Kayvon Thibodeaux, defensive backs Verone McKinley III and Mykael Wright and wide receiver Devon Williams.

6.) Ole Miss Rebels: Quarterback Matt Corral and running backs Snoop Conner and Jerrion Early.

7.) Purdue Boilermakers: Wide receiver David Bell and defensive end George Karlaftis.

8.) Alabama Crimson Tide: Wide receivers Jameson Williams and John Metchie III and offensive lineman Evan Neal.

9.) Notre Dame Fighting Irish: Safety Kyle Hamilton, running back Kyren Williams, wide receiver Kevin Austin Jr. and quarterback Jack Coan.

10.) USC Trojans: Wide receiver Drake London, cornerbacks Chris Steele and Isaac Taylor-Stuart and edge rusher Drake Jackson.
