The heavy snow made the trek to Sunday services tricky for some and slowed traffic on area roadways. Visibility on slippery roadways also was an issue in some places.
Ohio Department of Transportation plows were spotted on state highways and many area residents manned snow blowers and hand shovels as they worked to clear sidewalks and driveways.
Snowfall rates measured at around an inch per hour at times, according to the National Weather Service.
