The thing about landscape photography is that you do not get control over the lighting or a lot of the scenery, and that can be both thrilling and frustrating. As this interesting video details, learning to manage your expectations can not only help you have a more enjoyable experience, it can also help you create better photos.

Of course, planning in advance can save a lot of headaches, but there will always be days when the forecast is wrong or we miss some detail and Mother Nature surprises us. The important thing in these situations is to not give up or fight the conditions.
