Gran Turismo 7 File Size Is The Largest For a First-Party Exclusive
Gran Turismo 7 file size has been revealed and it is a massive game in itself that should take a huge chunk of space on the PS5 SSD.
This is based on the official PlayStation Store which has been updated with the file size of the game. The updated listing confirms that a minimum of 110 GB is required to install the game to the console. There is always the possibility that this file size takes into account things like the day one patch.
While PS5 has its SSD compression tech that allows developers to save valuable space, some games still have a large file size owning to various factors e.g pre-rendered cutscenes, high-quality textures, and so on.
In the case of Gran Turismo 7, the file size that is required to install the game is 110 GB and this is the file size of Gran Turismo Sport, which has received a lot of updates so far on the PS4. So while the vanilla Gran Turismo Sport release was just 40 GB, the post-launch patches that completely transformed the game added around 60-70 GB to it.
In addition to this, while this was already known, the game will support up to 20 network players for its multiplayer and requires a PS Plus subscription as well. It will be available on PS4 and PS5 and release on March 4, 2022.
