The Blackhawks bounced back on Saturday night in Minnesota, leading for the majority of the game against the Wild before falling in overtime, 4-3. Minnesota tied the game in the dying minutes with the extra attacker on and then found the winner at the tail end of a thilling extra frame of action.
Henrik Borgstrom and Alex DeBrincat each found the net in the opening period before Borgstrom put home a go-ahead goal late in the third. Kevin Lankinen made 40 stops on the night in his first start since Dec. 18.

1st - 9:51 - Henrik Borgstrom (Erik Gustafsson)

Chicago opened the scoring early in the first off a complete shift by Henrik Borgstrom in the offensive zone. The winger stole a puck from Ryan Hartman inside the Wild blue line to maintain possession in the offensive zone, then put a shot on goal and drove the net to tip home an Erik Gustafsson shot off the ensuing clearance attempt for a 1-0 lead off his third of the season.

1st - 17:07 - Alex DeBrincat (Seth Jones, Dylan Strome) -- PP

The Blackhawks power play that was blanked in three attempts on Friday night found pay dirt on its first attempt in Minnesota. From the point, Seth Jones slid a pass down to DeBrincat at the bottom of the left circle, where the winger put a one-timer into the open cage before Kaapo Kahkonen could slide across for a 2-0 lead.

1st - 19:30 - Joel Eriksson Ek (Mats Zuccarello, Jared Spurgeon) -- PP

Minnesota answered on a power play of their own just before the period's end as Joel Eriksson Ek pulled one back for the home side before the intermission break. Jared Spurgeon's shot from the point was deflected in front, dropping to the ice in the slot for a diving Mats Zuccarello to put towards goal through traffic. Kevin Lankinen made the initial stop, but Eriksson Ek found the rebound at the doorstep for a 2-1 score.

3rd - 10:45 - Kirill Kaprizov (Mats Zuccarello, Jared Spurgeon) -- PP

The Wild leveled the game again on the man advantage in the third period, the second of a double minor from the captain Jonathan Toews. Mats Zuccarello found a seam pass across the top of the crease to a wide open Kirill Kaprizov at the weak-side post for a 2-2 equalizer.

3rd - 12:03 - Henrik Borgstrom (MacKenzie Entwistle, Ryan Carpenter)

Just over a minute later, the Blackhawks fourth line contributed again on the night for a goal. Ryan Carpenter put a shot from distance on goal with the rebound deflecting to the corner before MacKenzie Entwistle threw the puck back into the crease. There, Henrik Borgstrom got a couple whacks at the loose puck before it finally trickled over the line between the legs of Kaapo Kahkonen for a 3-2 go-ahead goal.

3rd - 17:56 - Kevin Fiala (Jordan Greenway, Alex Goligoski)

Minnesota tied the game for the second time in the period off a rush with the extra attacker on as Jordan Greenway put a low-angle shot on goal that caught Kevin Lankinen on the shoulder. The rebound popped right to Kevin Fiala in front, who put a backhander past Lankinen for the 3-3 tie. It was the 12th time on the season that the Wild scored with the extra attacker on.

OT - 4:23 - Marcus Foligno

At the tail end of a thrilling overtime frame, Marcis Foligno netted the game-winner as the late man on a rush, collecting a rebound and lifting it for the 4-3 final.
