The biggest question the Green Bay Packers will have to face following Saturday's stunning upset at the hands of the San Francisco 49ers has got to be the future of Aaron Rodgers with the franchise. Packers head coach Matt LaFleur was faced with this daunting issue after the loss and the 42-year-old shot-caller made it abundantly clear that Green Bay wants A-Rod back next year.

LaFleur was asked how he thinks this gutting defeat will affect Rodgers' willingness to return next season, and the Packers coach was brutally honest with his response:

“I don't know,” LaFleur said, via Ryan Wood of USA TODAY. “Certainly, we want him back here. I think we'd be crazy not to want him back here. He's going to be the two-time MVP. This guy does so much for our football team.”

Clearly, the ball is in Rodgers' court. The reigning league MVP already spoke out about his future right after the loss and unsurprisingly, he did not provide any hints as to how he might decide in the offseason. All Rodgers said is that he's going to take time to think about what is potentially going to be a landscape-shifting decision about his future.

For their part, the Packers will be hoping and praying that their star quarterbacks decides to remain in Green Bay. Unfortunately for them, Saturday's loss serves as a brutal blow for their cause, and sadly, the bitter truth is that Aaron Rodgers may have already played his final game in a Packers uniform.
