The Detroit Red Wings’ difficulties against Nashville and troubles on the road continued on Saturday.

Matt Duchene scored a pair of goals and Juuse Saros made 28 saves to lead the Predators past the Red Wings 4-1 at Bridgestone Arena.

The Red Wings (18-18-6) fell to 5-12-3 away from home and have lost six in a row against Nashville. The Predators are 26-14-3.

Trailing 2-1, the Red Wings had a few good chances on a power play early in the third period. It lasted only 1:18, however, due to a holding penalty on Michael Rasmussen.

Filip Forsberg then scored his 20th goal of the season at 10:44, giving his team some breathing room. Forsberg beat defenders Moritz Seider and Danny DeKeyser to a rebound and deposited a backhand shot past Alex Nedeljkovic.

Duchene’s empty-net goal capped the scoring with 1:48 remaining.

Adam Erne scored Detroit’s goal, corralling a pass from Tyler Bertuzzi, and converting on a breakaway with 1:09 remaining in the second period to cut Nashville’s lead to 2-1.

It was Erne’s fourth goal, his first in 21 games, dating back to Nov. 24, and his first point in 13 games.

Bertuzzi has six assists in the past four games and 18 points (10 goals, eight assists) over his past 13 games.

Nashville scored twice in a span of 1:35 in the second period.

Nick Cousins picked up the puck in the slot, spun and fired a shot past Nedeljkovic at 12:46 on the power play while Luke Kunin provided a screen.

Duchene scored from the slot at 14:21, capping a nice give-and-go with Forsberg off a rush.
