Firefighters respond to house fire in Dauphin County

Firefighters were on the scene of a house fire Saturday evening in Highspire.

The first call came into the Dauphin County Department of Public Safety around 6:30 p.m. for a fire in the 500 block of Eshelman Street in Highspire, according to the department.

The Highspire Fire Department confirmed the house fire on its Facebook page on Saturday night.

The Lower Swatara Fire Department was also on the scene.

“Company 59 just cleared the 1st alarm house fire in the 500 blk of Eshelman St, in Highspire,” the fire department said on its Facebook page. “Units arrived with fire on the 1st division of a 1.5 story house.”

In addition to Lower Swatara and Highspire, five other fire departments were on the scene.

Officials said everyone made it out of the house and there were no injuries.
