Joseph Head, 2023 edge rusher, commits to Mississippi State over Ole Miss
Lexington, Mississippi, edge rusher Joseph Head committed to the Mississippi State Bulldogs over offers from Ole Miss and South Alabama, among others.
The 6-foot-4, 225-pound defender is ranked a 3-star prospect by 247Sports and the 9th ranked prospect from the state of Mississippi. MSU defensive line coach Jeff Phelps is Head’s primary recruiter.

Mississippi State offered head a scholarship on January 13, and Ole Miss quickly offered him on the 14th.
Head recorded 88 tackles, 13 tackles for loss and 12 sacks in 2021.
