Katie Holmes Is Making Green Coats a Fashion Staple for Winter

If there's one person who always looks stylish, it's Katie Holmes, whether she's walking the red carpet in a bikini-style halter dress or simply running an errand in a beige turtleneck and blue jeans.

Thus, when it comes to the latest trends, we're always keeping an eye out to see what Holmes has been wearing, and it seems she may have found the latest staple for winter: green coats.

Here at PureWow, we recently predicted that the biggest style trend of 2022 would be bold color combos, with Fashion Editor Abby Hepworth saying, “Bright, vibrant, ‘look at me!’ ensembles are ousting our go-to winter neutrals in 2022.”

This seems to be true when it comes to Holmes, who has ditched the neutral tones and opted for shades of green when it comes to her outerwear. At the beginning of the new year, the Dawson's Creek alum was seen walking the streets of SoHo in a wool, Castleton green coat, with purple pants underneath and a mint-colored purse to round it out.

Then, Holmes brought back (what appeared to be) the same coat a week later—this time, styling it with black pants and a matching handbag.

However, this colorful coat isn't the only green outerwear she's worn lately. A few days after rewearing the wool piece, Holmes was spotted in a moss green duster jacket, which she layered over blue jeans and accessorized with the same black tote she carried earlier that week.

Holmes definitely enjoys her staples, like when she rocked those black penny loafers on multiple occasions at the beginning of 2021. Now, the actress must have decided the go-to color for outerwear this winter is green.

Don't mind us while we go hunting for a green coat.
