Rachel Riley shares adorable snaps of husband Pasha Kovalev with their daughters Maven and Noa as they celebrate his 42nd birthday

Rachel Riley has shared a series of heartwarming family snaps as she wished her husband Pasha Kovalev a happy 42nd birthday on Thursday.

The Countdown presenter, 36, took to Instagram and shared several adorable photos of Pasha cradling their daughters Maven, two and Noa, two months.

Pasha was seen blowing out his candles while Rachel also shared a clip of him holding their kids as she said: 'Say happy birthday daddy!' 

Rachel joked the couple have swapped tequila shots for falling asleep on the couch since becoming parents.  

Alongside the post, she wrote: 'The answer to life, the universe and everything… happy 42nd birthday to my gorgeous husband @pashakovalev. 

'Celebrations are a bit different these days with kids ruling the roost, drinking tequila shots is temporarily out and falling asleep on the sofa has swapped in, but thankfully the Shark in the Park birthday cake was something everyone could enjoy (thanks!)

'Lovely way to round off our first family trip up to Countdown filming with the new member of family. Love these humans, happy birthday handsome!'

Rachel gave birth to Noa at the family home in London on November 5, more than a fortnight after her due date.

The TV star announced the arrival on social media, writing: 'We have some news…! Introducing Pasha's newest dance partner - baby Noa was finally born, 15 days after her due date, late on Friday night to the sound of fireworks!

'She's totally adorable and her big sister Maven has already tried welcoming her to the world by offering Oatly and pickles, we think that's a good sign.

'Massive thanks to the wonderful home birth midwives team and my doula who looked after us all so well.'

Rachel also referenced her 'rainbow baby' after tragically suffering a miscarriage between her two pregnancies.

She added: 'Ps thanks too to my namesake @rachelrileyuk for the lovely rainbow baby clothes for our gorgeous rainbow baby. Our family feels complete now she's here.'
