Team news

Crystal Palace: Patrick Vieira's team is boosted by the return of Jordan Ayew as the Ghanaian national team were eliminated from the Africa Cup of Nations. However, key starters Wilfried Zaha and Cheikhou Kouyate remain unavailable as they are still at the competition. Additionally, James Tomkins and James McArthur are still out injured.

Liverpool: The team is still without Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Naby Keita, who are all still at the Africa Cup of Nations. In terms of injuries, we'll have our eyes on whether Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Joel Matip play. Oxlade-Chamberlain missed the EFL Cup semifinal match against Arsenal on Thursday due to an ankle injury. Matip lasted just 45 minutes in that game with Jurgen Klopp looking to be careful and not risk his starting center back.

Prediction

No need for Mane and Salah as the Reds take all three points with a narrow, shaky victory. Pick: Liverpool 2, Crystal Palace 1
