Foote fined for actions in Lightning game

NEW YORK --Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Cal Foote has been fined $2,125.00, the maximum allowable under the Collective Bargaining Agreement, for cross-checking Anaheim Ducks forward Buddy Robinson during NHL Game No. 719 in Anaheim on Friday, Jan. 21, the National Hockey League's Department of Player Safety announced today.

The incident occurred at 19:41 of the third period. Foote was assessed a minor penalty for cross-checking.
The money goes to the Players' Emergency Assistance Fund.
