Angelina Jolie Is Reportedly The Weeknd’s New “Muse”

Angelina Jolie and The Weeknd were first spotted together in July of 2021. Since then, fans have been combing the musician’s lyrics for signs that Angelina has become his new “muse.”

A source told US Weekly that they’re not far off the mark, because The Weeknd, or Abel Makkonen Tesfaye, does see the actor as “the ultimate muse.” The insider said the friends “have more things in common than people would think” and that there are clues about their relationship on Abel’s album Dawn FM.

Specifically, the song “Here We Go…Again” is supposed to be about his relationship with Angelina.

“My new girl, she’s a movie star / I loved her right / Make her scream like Neve Campbell,” go the lyrics. “But I make her laugh / Swear it cures my depressing thoughts / ’Cause baby girl, she a movie star / Baby girl, she a movie star / I told myself that I’d never fall / But here we go again.”

But their connection is supposedly not romantic—it’s merely inspirational for the artist.

“Angelina and The Weeknd have had a few meetups, but there is nothing romantic going on between them—at least that’s what friends are told,” said the source. The songwriter initially connected with the actor because her children are big fans, but it quickly became more than that.

“They’re crazy about him and they love him and his music,” the source explained. “They’ve all become quite buddy-buddy, and the kids find it so cool that their mom has a connection with The Weeknd.”

In early September, a different source said Angelina’s interest in the musician was growing and insinuated that they’re secretly in a romantic relationship.

“He’s been pouring on the charm and going out of his way to impress her,” the insider shared. “Both Angie and Abel are telling people that they are just friends, but those who know them think something romantic is going on.”
