Kentucky freshman guard TyTy Washington left Saturday’s road game against Auburn with an apparent left ankle injury during the first half. The former five-star recruit’s return status remains unclear at this time as trainers helped him off the floor and into the locker room.

CBS sideline reporter Gary Parrish told Brad Nessler and Bill Raftery that TyTy Washington told staff that he did not believe the ankle injury was serious. He also began putting more weight on his leg as time passed.

After catching the ball on the wing, Washington drove into the paint and missed a floater. As he came down on the other side of the rim, he landed on teammate Oscar Tshiebwe’s leg and rolled his ankle sideways.

Washington is averaging 14.2 points, 4.2 rebounds and 4.6 assists per game over 18 games this season. He is also shooting over 50% from the field and 40% from the 3-point line.

Excitement for Auburn-Kentucky game

One of the most anticipated games of the season is currently in action as Kentucky travels into Auburn Arena to take on the Tigers. With the Wildcats in town, everyone and their mother wants to feel the energy.

According to CBS Sports’ Barrett Salle, it will cost an arm and a leg if you want to be in Auburn Arena for the top-15 showdown.

“Get-in price for Saturday’s basketball game between Kentucky and Auburn at Auburn Arena is $350 on @StubHub,” revealed Salle. “$350 for a regular season basketball game in January in Auburn, Alabama. 1 pm ET on @CBSSports.”

As you can see, the hype has never been more real for Auburn. The Tigers are so close to the No. 1 ranking that their fans can taste it, and they will pay a premium to see the Tigers accomplish their goal.
