While rock band Halestorm was catching sleep at the Hilton Garden Inn ahead of a Thursday night concert at the DCU Center, the band’s tour bus caught fire outside the hotel.

Halestorm guitarist Joe Hottinger shared a photo of the burnt-out tour bus Thursday. The band woke up to the bus burning around 3 a.m. Thursday, he said.

“Old Halestorm had a night for the books,” he wrote. “We were all in our hotel rooms last night and we woke up to our bus burning down at 3 a.m.”

No one was hurt in the fire, but some stuff was lost in the fire, Hottinger said. A security staff member for the band was able to retrieve guitars and luggage from the bay of the bus.

“The Worcester fire department got there and put the fire out,” Hottinger wrote. “They were amazing.”

Acting Deputy Chief Adam J. Roche told the Worcester Telegram & Gazette damage was contained to the bunk area of the bus.

On Friday, lead singer Elizabeth “Lzzy” Mae thanked fans on social media for their well-wishes following the fire.

“Thank you all so much. Between laughing at this near miss, crying over the what if’s… I had a full on panic attack pre show from an intense day full of emotions,” she tweeted. “But we are just so thankful to be here, when it could’ve turned so hard in the wrong direction.”

The cause of the fire has yet to be determined.
