The Indiana Pacers will play the Phoenix Suns in an inter-conference matchup on Saturday night. It's time continue our NBA odds series with a Pacers-Suns prediction and pick.

The Pacers and Suns will meet on Saturday as the Suns look to stay hot and extend their five-game win streak. Indiana has won two in a row and will look to pull off the upset in this one. The Pacers have struggled this season overall, as they sit with a 17-29 record and near the bottom of the Eastern Conference standings. Phoenix has a three-game lead on the Golden State Warriors for best record in the NBA heading into Saturday's action. The Suns are strong favorites at home over the Pacers in this one to no surprise.

Here is how FanDuel has set the Pacers-Suns odds for this Saturday NBA matchup.

Why The Pacers Could Cover The Spread

The Pacers have their fair share of injury concerns heading into this one. Myles Turner and Domantas Sabonis are out, while Malcolm Brogdon and Caris LeVert are questionable. TJ Warren and TJ McConnell also remain out. Indiana found a way to win shorthanded vs. the Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Lakers this week, but it might be tough to pick up their third straight win vs. a mostly healthy Phoenix team. The cover could be in play, but seems risky on the road.

Indiana vs. the spread

The Pacers are 23-22-1 vs. the spread this season, and 6-4 against it in their last ten games. Indiana is 15-8 vs. the spread as the underdog this season and 10-5 as the away dog.

Why The Suns Could Cover The Spread

Chris Paul and Devin Booker will be ready to go for this one, and the absence of Deandre Ayton isn't so bad as the Pacers have their top two bigs out. The Suns should be able to win and win comfortably here vs. a shorthanded Pacers team. A cover never feels “safe” for an NBA game when the spread is double-digits, but the Suns could definitely cover in this spot. They will have a significant edge on their home floor in this matchup. If Brogdon and LeVert both play, the Pacers may be able to hang around, however.

Phoenix vs. the spread

The Suns are 25-19 vs. the spread this season, and 7-3 ATS in their last ten games. Phoenix is 11-11 against the spread at home, and 23-17 vs. the line as a favorite this season.

Final Pacers-Suns Prediction and Pick:

If Brogdon and LeVert both suit up for the Pacers, take Indiana to cover in this spot. The Suns should pull out the win, but this is a big spread. Brogdon and LeVert being out would likely bump the line a little bit, making the Suns even bigger favorites. In that case, you may stick with the points but the chances of a blowout obviously increase with quality backcourt options missing for the Pacers vs. Booker and Paul.

Final Pacers-Suns Prediction & Pick: Pacers +12 (-110)
