Why The Pacers Could Cover The Spread
The Pacers have their fair share of injury concerns heading into this one. Myles Turner and Domantas Sabonis are out, while Malcolm Brogdon and Caris LeVert are questionable. TJ Warren and TJ McConnell also remain out. Indiana found a way to win shorthanded vs. the Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Lakers this week, but it might be tough to pick up their third straight win vs. a mostly healthy Phoenix team. The cover could be in play, but seems risky on the road.
Indiana vs. the spread
The Pacers are 23-22-1 vs. the spread this season, and 6-4 against it in their last ten games. Indiana is 15-8 vs. the spread as the underdog this season and 10-5 as the away dog.
Why The Suns Could Cover The Spread
Chris Paul and Devin Booker will be ready to go for this one, and the absence of Deandre Ayton isn't so bad as the Pacers have their top two bigs out. The Suns should be able to win and win comfortably here vs. a shorthanded Pacers team. A cover never feels “safe” for an NBA game when the spread is double-digits, but the Suns could definitely cover in this spot. They will have a significant edge on their home floor in this matchup. If Brogdon and LeVert both play, the Pacers may be able to hang around, however.

In that case, you may stick with the points but the chances of a blowout obviously increase with quality backcourt options missing for the Pacers vs. Booker and Paul.
