A woman in Titusville was killed in a fiery crash around 2:30 a.m. on Saturday near the 100 block of Park Lane after her Chevrolet Corvette struck a tree and became engulfed in flames before rescue crews arrived.

BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – A woman in Titusville was killed in a fiery crash around 2:30 a.m. on Saturday near the 100 block of Park Lane after her Chevrolet Corvette struck a tree and became engulfed in flames before rescue crews arrived.

The preliminary investigation revealed the victim, and sole occupant inside the vehicle, was driving a 2018 Chevrolet Corvette and traveling east on Park Lane when she lost control of her vehicle and struck a tree on the roadway.

Police who responded to the scene say the vehicle was engulfed in flames after impact.

No other vehicles were involved, according to investigators.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash still remains under investigation by the Titusville Police Department.

The victim’s identity will be released as soon as the investigation comes to a conclusion.
