Has there ever been a nice middle class character/family in Eastender?

Willmott-Brown was a rapist and tried to demolish half the square when he returned decades later.
That barmy Doctor who had Dawn birth her surrogate whom she tried to kidnap.
And no need to describe Gray's behaviour over the past few years.

Does Dr Legge count?! I'm guessing he bettered himself and moved to North London.

The scriptwriters/producers really seem to have it in for middle class people on this show. I'm guessing they're typical middle class BBC people themselves. Perhaps they wish they could behave that way to the working classes?! Or a bit of class guilt?

No because Working Class is King in EastEnders, the writers think all Middle Class people are Villians and psychos, it is a very poor opinion of the writers that they keep on doing this.

It's funny because most writers on the Show seem to be White & Middle Class themselves.

Currently we have Ash, Sonia, Jack and Eve. I'd also include Isaac.

I would have to disagree, Eve possibly.

So you don't count professionals as middle classed ?

    Dr Al Jenkins.
He’s a lovely man in the 2009 episodes on iPlayer.

When I think of Middle Class Characters Vald I think of the likes of Willmott Brown, Mad May, Stella Crawford, Yusuf, Gray Atkins, Luke Browning.

These type of characters are always written as Villians.

To me there is a difference between being Middle Class and being Professional.

Sounds like it is the accent is the deciding factor for you vas.

Ash is just as qualified as Yusef, mad May and Dr Legg.

Luke was nothing but the spoilt son of a wealthy crook (much like Ben.)

Eve is as qualified as Stella was.

Don't be fooled by accents. Look at Boris...I hazard a guess that I am more intelligent and better qualified than him but you wouldn't mistake me for anything but an EastEnder.

Theres not that many nice working class characters either. I mean us working class forum members could be offended at how we get portrayed but you rarely see complaints like that.

I dont really see why it matters that middle class characters can be written as psychos. Doesnt mean that all middle class people in real life will act in the same way.

Plus there have been nice middle class characters but they get forgotten about because they dont fit the narrative some forum members have that the show is prejudiced against them.
