SHIMMER and ROH alumna Nicole Savoy is hanging up the boots, announcing her retirement from the business on Saturday night. Savoy, who was part of the 2017 May Young Classic in WWE and AEW’s Deadly Draw women’s tag team tournament in 2020, made the announcement following her match alongside Dark Sheik vs. Brittany Wonder and Juice Lee at HOODSLAM Mutagenesis last night (per Fightful).

PWInsider reports that the Aces & Eights’ team of Wes Brisco and Garett Bischoff returned at tonight’s Impact Wrestling TV taping in Florida. They were led to the ring by D’Lo Brown for a tag match with Honor No More’s Vincent and Kenny King. Honor No More previously attacked Brown months ago after the Hard to Kill PPV.

Fightful Select reports that Ariya Daivari and Joe Hennig both had tryouts as producers with the WWE at this week’s TV tapings. Hennig was not listed among the producers at this week’s RAW but was part of the Smackdown tapings. Daivari worked RAW on his own after a month of working with veteran producers, which is usually the case for producer tryouts. He produced the Main Event match between Akira Tozawa and Apollo Crews on his own. He was later working with a veteran again for Smackdown.

A new report has some updates on MJF’s relationship with AEW and whether they’re in talks on a new contract. As was reported last week, there is still some frustration between MJF and the company stemming from issues MJF has with his contract and the heated conversation that he and Tony Khan had over an interview the star gave with Ariel Helwani without informing AEW. Fightful Select reports that as of now, there has been no word of contract negotiations between the two yet, though there have been overtures made by AEW to begin such talks which MJF hasn’t yet outright addressed.
