Overview

“Always Yes Annie”

“Sleepover”

Annie is determined to go to her first sleepover, but Pony’s homesickness threatens to change that…

Our Take

For the former episode, much of the humor comes from basically stealing the premise of the Jim Carrey 2008 Movie “Yes Man” where Annie is obligated to a bet by having to forcibly say “yes” to anything and everything Pony asks regardless of how ridiculous & mischievous it all seems for the sake of making sure Pony willingly goes to the Vet for his usual checkup. And to put it mildly, wacky consequential chaos ensues.

As for the 2nd episode, it mostly delves into Pony’s personal issues when it comes to staying at another person’s house which became an ongoing problem to a certain degree on Pony’s end and much of it progresses into a “comedy of errors”, while in a separate subplot, Annie’s parents attempt to “anonymously” dance together which you’d think would be easier said than done.

Overall, both episodes were watchable if only for their sheer wackiness. For the first episode, Sometimes karma has a way of working itself out when it comes to the proceedings of Pony’s antics, while the other delved into the aforementioned “comedy of errors” that has in a weird way brought people together even in the weirdest of circumstances. Though I think much of it could’ve been avoided given what happens near the end of the episode…
