Mary Elizabeth Winstead Joins ‘Star Wars’ Ahsoka Tano Series On Disney+

Excuse me, I’ll just be over here dreaming of the cool Star Wars stuff that’s going to feature my girl Mary Elizabeth Winstead. Because as if the upcoming Ahsoka Tano series on Disney+ couldn’t get any cooler, Winstead has now joined the cast. And if you ask me, this seems like the most logical next step in her career.

THR reports Winstead has joined Rosario Dawson in the cast of the Ahsoka Tano series, although her role is unclear. Along with Dawson, the cast includes the return of Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker, and Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren.

But this is all about Winstead, am I right? A big part of me thinks someone of her stature, especially among the pop culture circle, should be someone we know to be a huge part of the Star Wars universe. Maybe Hera Syndulla? However, she’d be even better with a new character to call her own, so I’m good either way. Just give her some cool weapons and let her kick some ass. It’s what she’s been doing in everything from Scott Pilgrim to Birds of Prey, and most recently in the killer assassin flick Kate. Set her loose!
