Pick up after your dogs or face paying a hefty fine. In a recent post on the West Richland Police Department Facebook:

If you're cited for not cleaning up after your dog, the fine is $75. The second offense could cost you $150. It's just common courtesy. No one enjoys stepping in dog poop. No one wants it in their yard. Please, be polite wherever you walk your dogs. Clean up after them, it's your duty as a pet owner.

There's nothing worse, when mowing our yards, to encounter a pile of that stuff, especially, when we don't own a dog.

As a former dog owner, I NEVER left my home with my dog without a plastic bag for his droppings. It stinks. However, as a responsible pet owner, it's what you do. Pick up after your pooch. Dispose of it at a receptacle bin at the park, anywhere, or at your home. Pet owners need to be responsible for their pets. Your pets poop.
