Currently seeking a more workable situation for himself where he'll also find more playing time and an opportunity to be a real difference-maker, Paul Millsap has found himself on the trade block. After choosing to join the Brooklyn Nets this offseason, Millsap hasn't seen the level of success he was hoping for.

This could be primarily due to the fact that the Nets have a star-studded roster already in place and aren't able to give everyone an adequate amount of playing time as a result of this. As the Nets continue to fight through adversity, they'll also be searching for a trade partner for Millsap.

On that note, let's discuss the two best trade destinations for Paul Millsap.

Phoenix Suns

They're the best team in the Western Conference and gunning for another run to the NBA Finals with the hopes of bringing the Larry O'Brien Trophy back to the valley of the sun. On the Phoenix Suns, Paul Millsap could be a value-added veteran presence that the entire team would benefit from greatly.

He's a battle-tested playoff performer who's played for several title contenders throughout his illustrious career and on the Suns, the Nets veteran properly utilize his highly effective mid-range game and reliable 3-point shot while providing Phoenix with more rebounding and another strong perimeter defender.

Between Millsap, Chris Paul, JaVale McGee, and Jae Crowder, the Suns would have an elite veteran core that would be vital to the continued growth and development of Devin Booker, Mikal Bridges, and the other young up-and-comers in Phoenix. This would be a lethal combination that could earn them their second straight trip to the NBA Finals and possibly their first title in franchise history.

Memphis Grizzlies

As a deep and dominant force of nature in the Western Conference, the Memphis Grizzlies have quickly emerged into a contender. Boasting a potent mix of youth, athleticism, and highly efficient two-way play, this young and aggressive squad could definitely use a seasoned vet who would also be a great locker room presence and be able to win over his teammates' respect on the court. In Millsap, they'd be getting exactly that and more. It would allow him to have more of a role than on the Nets.

With an established playoff performer like Millsap on the team, this would give the Grizzles another quality veteran outside of Steven Adams who could lead by example and be a mentor to guys like Ja Morant, Jaren Jackson Jr., Dillon Brooks, Brandon Clarke, De'Anthony Melton, and the rest of their young core to learn from. Adding a veteran of Millsap's caliber would vastly improve the Grizzlies' success late in the season and enable them to make a deep playoff run.

In conclusion, Paul Millsap definitely hasn't had the easiest go of it during his time with the Brooklyn Nets, and with a change of scenery, he could be back to his old ways and have a major impact. With the right team in place and the right role for him to fill, Millsap would unquestionably be a difference-maker and be able to give a maximum effort on a playoff contender that's lacking a high-quality veteran with a ton of stellar postseason experience.
