EastEnders spoilers follow.
EastEnders' Stuart Highway will make a major decision next week, as he is forced to seek answers over his cancer diagnosis.
Stuart (Ricky Champ) was diagnosed with male breast cancer at the end of last year, but failed to share the news with his wife Rainie.
Viewers saw Rainie (Tanya Franks) finally discover the truth in last night's episode, and she will waste no time in getting Stuart the help he needs.
At an emergency appointment scheduled by Rainie next week, the doctor explains the surgery to Stuart and wants to proceed as soon as possible.
Rainie is adamant that Stuart must take immediate action, but he panics when pain medication is mentioned.
Sturt later tells that Mick he feels like he's being punished for his past and also explains to Rainie that he can't risk becoming addicted to the painkillers.
Although Rainie manages to talk Stuart round, she is panic-stricken when she discovers he's gone missing.
She tracks his phone to a church but can't work out what he's doing there. When Rainie eventually finds him, Stuart opens up to her.
After learning the real reason behind Stuart's fears, Rainie promises to support him and he agrees to have the operation.
Anxious, Stuart tries to casually ask Jean about her cancer, but she clocks what's going on and asks when he got his diagnosis.
Jean mentions some natural remedies she took alongside her treatment and Stuart latches onto the idea – suddenly believing that he doesn't need any surgery at all.
Callum is horrified when Stuart explains he wants to treat his cancer holistically and after a chat agrees to support his brother, but will Rainie feel the same?
EastEnders airs these scenes on Monday, January 24, Tuesday, January 25 and Thursday, January 27 on BBC One.
