‘DS4EVER’ marks Gunna’s Second No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart.
Gunna treated fans to a visual performance of his latest single, “empire,” on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
“empire” boasts a solemn acoustic guitar riff, backed by a steely trap beat, where Gunna spits his journey through fame and fortune, love and loss. Following in theme with the album’s artwork, Gunna, accompanied by a guitarist, is seen sitting in an armchair against a moody nautical twilight backdrop as smoke eerily drifts throughout the stage.
DS4EVER dropped earlier this month, becoming his second album to reach No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart after 2020’s WUNNA. At 19 tracks, the project sees guest features from resident heartbreaker Drake, Kodak Black, Lil Baby, Young Thug, Nechie, and many more.
The album is slated to outsell The Weeknd‘s Dawn FM for a second week in a row, with both albums falling behind Disney’s Encanto soundtrack. DS4EVER‘s merch collection was designed in collaboration with fashion house Mr. Saturday and features a sleeveless muscle tee, graphic T-shirts, a hoodie, and a noteworthy ’90s-inspired varsity jacket.
