Chaz used to be one of my favourite characters in Emmerdale, especially in The King era.

Now I find myself sick of hearing her whining voice, the character is as interesting as a piece of wood and don’t get me started about the Dingle code because that’s really boring the sh!t out of me.

Tonight when she told Cain she’d disowned him, I wish he could have told her f00k off you whiney arse b!tch

I dont know about axing, but I definitely want her to be put in her place! I started to get really irritated with her yesterday too, like who does she think she is, Queen Chastity of the village? Why is it always her who dictates who is in and who is out, who's 'crimes' are worth punishment and who's arent (hint - hers are always justified). Cain was only trying to help her, but he really shouldn't have bothered. She's ungrateful, disloyal and I hope she does lose everything now.

Being disowned by Chas is a superb honour. Cain (not that I’m a big fan of him either but I prefer him to Chas) should have gone out celebrating afterwards !

Chas is pretty much a useless waste of space of a character these days. We know there are far too many Dingles around, and if one of them was to be axed, she’d be top of the list (well my list).

Yes, tonight was it for me, she is such a nasty character and her actions today have made her irredeemable for me, also I didn't like Marlon tonight either and I usually like his character 🙄

I understand aliens have finally made contact after tonight's episode.

They spotted Marlon's acting as it was visible from space.

Her constant whining is really annoying: I don't know why Paddy stays with her/

Yes Chasilla needs to go. Really can’t be bothered with her any more and good on Charity for calling her out, let’s hope she doesn’t give in.

Also woeful Vanessa can go to, know idea why they brought her back

Think there are quite a few that need to be axed.

Couldn't agree more, especially about the dingle code. What a load of boring nonsense! How any of them can keep a straight face when they are given the "You are no longer a part of this family/You're dead to us" speech is beyond me. Why would anyone care?

Chas is the worst. She is such a hypocritice and I hate how much she enjoys lording it over everyone.

I've been thinking this for ages. It's that same winey monotone voice.

I would like Chas removed permanently from the Woolpack and take a back seat in the show.

I don't think she should be axed but she is hard to like at times

    "sHo MuCh FoR fWaMaWeY wOyAlTaY!"

For a moment in that scene I actually genuinely thought they were actually going to have Charity go "Family loyalty? You wanna talk about family loyalty?! OK then I'll give you family loyalty..." before proceeding into a "reasons why you suck" rant which Her High Holiness Saint Chas very rightly deserves and is way overdue one but NOPE! Instead TPTB just teases us with Charity giving her a simple stare before just simply sodding off as if she thinks deep down "Chas is right" somehow.🙄

Because of course heaven forbid Her High Holiness Saint Chas doesn't have the last word and is EVER in the wrong(!)🙄

Just finished watching the rest of the episode...

"yOu HaS gOnE tOo FaR tHiS tImE! i Is DiSoWn YoU nOw!"

Oh yes Her High Holiness Saint Chas you're totally right Cain has indeed gone too far this time...

Not when he slept with his own daughter's girlfriend, when he impregnated a 16 year old and tried to force to her have an abortion, when he destroyed the Barton family unit through an affair, when he waterboarded Charity, the MULTIPLE times he's committed various violent, dangerous crimes and came very close to killing so many people (with Ellis being the most recent example) etc. etc. etc...

THIS is the line he has crossed and has finally gone "too far this time" in your eyes(!)🙄

Its like the writers always expect us to root for that scummy family and be blind the the hypocrisy. I think a lot of said hypocrisy comes from the disjointed writers forgetting that we have actually watched the show for years and are fully aware of past situations, ones that they seemingly are not.

Chas is horrible, she has been horrible for years and is the biggest hypocrite ever in any soap as far as I can remember. With the pub, their best bet now is probably to get Al prosecuted for burning down the pub. The whole insurance being void, and the fire inspectors not finding the blatant causes of the fire is absolutely ridiculous anyway. I am sure that from an insurance perspective it would look very suspicious that a building subject to planning permission to be remodelled into flats suddenly burns down, but the reason they gave seems unbelievable.

Also, what's with this "romance" with Belle and Ellis. I presume at this point in the filming schedule they were aware that he is leaving. So where is this heading? Ellis leaves because of big bad Cain and therefore Belle joins in the banishing . . which we all know will all be forgotten in true Dingle style in a few weeks. As much as I wasn't really a fan of the prolonged Meena show, I can see this being a really tedious watch for several weeks now because it was already pretty dire before they tried to entertain us for a while. A show like this needs several storylines going at the same time, they don't all have to be shocking or innovative but its a soap opera. The drastically reduced cast is really showing at the moment and the place looks like a ghost town.

Oh, and please, please lets have Jai get found out for the sneaky self serving cowardly arse that he is and no more redemption arcs. We know he is a scumbag, let him lose it all and retreat back under the bridge where he belongs and not end up in therapy or counselling with Laurel fully behind him etc.

I like Chas and I think Lucy is such a great actress I how the writers write Chas alot being a hypocrite. I want the fun Chas back when she and Charity had fun together.

Chas was so cruel to Liv and then she said said sorry and it was forgotten in the blink of an eye and now living rent free in her house. If I were Vinny I would have gone mad at Chas for getting Liv's hopes up before the situation was clear, who was she to tell her? Vinny was the only one actually doing anything!

I feel better for venting that!

Chas isn't the same character that she used was. I don't want her character to be axed either. I haven't forgiven her for not standing by Liv when Meena was getting away with it all. At the start she didn't believe in Liv and only Vinny helped her through it all. Who did she think she was speaking to Cain like that in last night episode. She needs to get over herself and put in her place. It's not the actress fault. The writers changed her character.

Now I don't have a problem with Chas, there are several I would rather see the back of myself.

Totally agree. The way she spoke to Liv in prison was dreadful. She disowned her just when she needed all the support she could get. Then had the cheek to move into her house!!

Although I don't mind Chas, I do wonder if now would be an ideal time to axe her now she has lost the Woolpack because I am struggling to see where she can go storyline wise so I would swing the axe on Chas and Paddy and give them a nice happy ending.

If Emmerdale decide to keep Zoe alive off-screen despite Leah Bracknell having passed away in real life a few years ago, I would nostalgically revisit her friendship with Paddy (even if he hasn't mentioned her for years but could casually mention that they chat on social media every now and then) and have her send him a job offer in New Zealand via letter or email and he plus Chas decide to emigrate to New Zealand together with Eve for a fresh start.

That would be a fitting exit after everything that Chas has endured in two decades within the village in that she leaves for a fresh start with renewed hope for the future alongside Paddy.

As for Paddy's role at Vets, perhaps Rhona/Vanessa could take full ownership and Paddy send a student vet from New Zealand who turns out to be Jean Tate which would provide Kim and Noah with some story material, whilst causing some interesting dynamics at the vets working alongside Rhona given her frosty dynamics with Kim.

Marlon also would get a fresh direction without Paddy around unless they brought back Biff who could have a kid of his own who is around April's age. Biff would also be a fairly blank canvas given that he has largely been off-screen for over 20 years with exception of his brief return for Seth's funeral.

Her horrified expression when Charity reminded her of their early days and when Chas arrived in Ed dressed as a nun said it all. That Chas is dead and buried and we’re left with this version, the sanctimonious, hypocritical, entitled and irritating Chas.

I’ve hated her for so long now but I also loathe Cain, Paddy and Marlon. They’ve all been around too long and have absolutely nothing new or fresh to offer.

A Dingle cull is long overdue.

All soaps seem to be scared of axing long term characters now.

I think the like of Chas & Paddy in particular have hit a wall with viewers, even Cain to as it the same old stuff all the time. There is only so many times you can listen to the Dingles going on about family and then disowning them for all of 5 mins the next.

What did Chas expect after she was so vile to Charity?

    Loathsome creature.
