Apple’s Working on Three New ‘HomePod’ Devices | What We Know

Apple redesigned its website in October 2021 after its “Unleashed” event, and that redesign included the new TV & Home category, which effectively merged the TV and the Music pages it had previously. This signaled a new take on the Apple TV and its HomePod products.

Apple’s HomePod flopped when it was released, and it was discontinued in 2021. This led to rumors of Apple developing three new home-related products.

Apple TV + HomePod

Apple is known for coming up with revolutionary combinations. These combinations include some weird ones, and according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the fruit company has been working on a combination between their Apple TV set-top box and the HomePod. We’re excited to see how Apple will pull this one off.

HomePod + iPad

Apple is also working on a successor to the iMac G4 (Pixar lamp iMac) with a new competitor to Google’s Nest Hub, Amazon’s Echo Show, and Lenovo’s Smart Clocks. It will look as if an iPad was put on an iMac G4 stand, and the base will be the HomePod part, bringing music to our ears.

This product is supposedly going to be running the new “homeOS” that Apple has been working on behind the scenes, while the Apple TV + HomePod would still run tvOS.

Successor to the Original HomePod

This one has been requested for a while since the HomePod mini has been a tremendous success for Apple as a whole. I think this would be a good move if Apple comes out with a beautiful new HomePod design with powerful sound and possibly some fun color options.

Many Millennials had iPods when they were younger, and what I see Apple doing is using music to set its HomePod and AirPods up as the modern Gen-Z “iPod.” Positioning these two modern billion-dollar products like their former flagship will bring new competition for the current leaders in the smart home and personal assistant field.
