CMT Selects 'Diverse Group' For The 'Next Women Of Country' Class Of 2022

Ten rising artists have officially been announced as CMT’s “Next Women of Country” class of 2022. The country music hub revealed its “diverse group” on Friday (January 21), spotlighting women of “varying ages, backgrounds and creative proclivities that touch nearly every corner of the country music genre.”

The list includes Amythyst Kiah, Callista Clark, Camille Parker, Jenna Paulette, Julia Cole, Laci Kaye Booth, Lily Rose, Madeline Edwards, Miko Marks and Morgan Wade.

The 10 women who make up the class of 2022 join the ranks of other powerhouse vocalists in the country music industry to earn the “Next Women of Country” title, including: Maren Morris, Kelsea Ballerini, Mickey Guyton, Kacey Musgraves, Brittney Spencer, Ashley McBryde, Lauren Alaina and others.

“We are so excited to welcome our newest class of ultra-talented female artists into our beloved CMT Next Women of Country franchise,” said Leslie Fram, SVP of Music & Talent at CMT, in a statement. “Each is boldly blazing their own spirited path on their own terms, destined to make a lasting impact on country music. We celebrate this diverse group of women and look forward to supporting their work and their careers in 2022 and beyond.”

CMT also notes that fans can get to know the class of 2022 on CMT Hot 20 Countdown this Saturday morning (January 22) at 9 a.m. ET.
