Orlando mayor and wife test positive for COVID

ORLANDO, Fla. — Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer announced on Twitter Friday afternoon that he and his wife tested positive for COVID.

Dyer said they are not experiencing any symptoms and credits being vaccinated and boosted.

The mayor said he plans to isolate and work remotely for now.

After being made aware that I had been exposed to COVID-19, Susie & I both tested positive. We are currently asymptomatic, which I credit to being vaccinated & boosted. I will continue to isolate & work on City business remotely as directed by CDC guidelines.

Susie and I have received our COVID-19 vaccine boosters. I encourage everyone who is eligible to get their booster shot, too.
