As you all know, I am not just a diehard Diamondbacks fan but am also a diehard University of Arizona Wildcats fan, so I am ecstatic at the news of us getting pitcher Mark Melancon as our new closer! He joins fellow UA alumnus Kevin Ginkel...yes, THAT Kevin Ginkel...my crush...in the bullpen...so, hopefully we will have Spring Training and a full season, IF the folks at the MLBPA get an agreement reached...but that's another story for another time...

I have hoped for a long time that we would get Mark and it's finally happened...wishes do come true sometimes for fans...this one included...

Mark also brings to the table his positive attitude and always smiling face...he is happiest when on the mound and always has a bright outlook to every game, no matter if it's a loss or a victory.

I do wish Mark the very best with our Diamondbacks.
