World Beyond actor Joe Holt cast in Peacock’s Bel-Air

The Walking Dead: World Beyond actor Joe Holt has been cast in a new role. Holt portrayed Dr. Leo Bennett on the limited spin-off series. Deadline reports that Holt has now been cast in Peacock’s reboot of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, simply titled Bel-Air.
The series is based on a fan film created by Morgan Cooper, who developed the series along with Will Smith. Smith starred in the original series as a fictionalized version of himself. After Smith viewed the fan film, he expressed interest in developing the film into a reboot of the original show.
The series will be released on Peacock on February 13 with Jabari Banks, playing the role of Will Smith, and is joined by Adrian Holmes, Cassandra Freeman, Olly Sholotan, Coco Jones, Akira Akbar, Jimmy Akingbola, Jordan L. Jones, and Simone Joy Jones. Recurring cast members include Holt, Karrueche Tran, Duane Martin, April Parker, SteVonté Hart, Scottie Thompson and Charlie Hall.

Holt was announced as a series regular for The Walking Dead: World Beyond’s second season. This announcement came at Comic-Con@home in the Summer of 2021. Dr. Bennett was a resident of the Campus Colony who was sent to the CRM research facility as he is said to be “the smartest man alive.” He was transferred there to continue his work to discover a cure for the virus that caused the outbreak.
At the end of the series, Dr. Bennett (Holt) was seen with his daughter Hope (Alexa Mansour) working diligently to find ways to end the outbreak.
Next, Holt can be seen in three short films, One Hit Wonder, 8 Steps to Rye and Flat Earther.
Role’s Holt is known for includes Dr. Gordo on As the World Turns, Pistachio/Stash in Prison Break and Rod in Vicariously. He has also starred in Law & Order, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Law & Order: Trial by Jury, The Punisher, The Blacklist, Grey’s Anatomy, The Good Wife, Limitless and NCSI: New Orleans.
