Peacemaker Scene Has Fans Googling a Disturbing Star Wars “Fact”

The first three episodes of DC’s Peacemaker debuted on HBO Max last week, and the fourth episode was released on the streaming platform today. The new series is a follow-up to James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad and sees Peacemaker (John Cena) teaming up with John Economos (Steve Agee), Emilia Harcourt (Jennifer Holland), and others to stop the mysterious "Project Butterfly." At one point in the series, Peacemaker talks about Star Wars and claims that Wookiees have teeth in their buttholes. “That’s canon,” he exclaims. According to a recent Instagram post from the director, James Gunn, that joke in the series has led to some hilarious googling.

"Just #Peacemaker influencing the cultural conversation with his usual grace," James Gunn wrote. His Instagram post includes the beginning of the search, "Do wook-" and Google finishing it with "Do Wookiees have teeth on their buttholes?

" A lot of people have even taken to Reddit to ask if Wookies have teeth on their buttholes. Despite Peacemaker’s claims, there is no evidence in Star Wars right now that suggests Wookies have teeth anywhere other than their mouths. You can look at James Gunn’s Instagram post below:

In addition to John Cena, Steve Agee, and Jennifer Holland, Peacemaker also stars Chris Conrad as Vigilante, Robert Patrick as Auggie Smith, Christopher Heyerdahl as Captain Locke, Danielle Brooks as Leota Adebayo, Lochlyn Munro as Larry Fitzgibbon, Annie Chang as Sophie Song, and Chukwudi Iwuji as Clemson Murn.

As for the Wookiees, there’s a new character taking over the Internet. The Book of Boba Fett has also released four episodes and fans are loving the Wookie bounty hunter named Black Krrsantan, who made its debut in Darth Vader #1 seven years ago and was a fixture in the Doctor Aphra comic series. The Eisner Award-nominated comic book writer who created Black Krrsantan, Kieron Gillen along with the artist Salvador Larroca, recently explained how to pronounce the Wookiee’s name (K-rur! san-tan).

New episodes of The Book of Boba Fett come out every Wednesday on Disney+ while new Peacemaker episodes come out every Thursday on HBO Max.
