29-year old Blake Ryan Richards of Plano is now facing one of two possible penalties; life in prison or the death penalty.

A Collin County grand jury has indicted Richards for capital murder in the October shooting deaths of his sister and her boyfriend, police think the fight was over an inheritance.

The shooting happened at a home on Mulvane Drive, near 14th street and Brand Drive where the bodies of 29-year old Brittany Richards and 26-year old Ross Escalante were found.

Investigators say the three had been fighting over an inheritance and that Blake Richards shot both his sister and Escalante. Records say Richards later called Richardson police to report the shooting and that he was arrested in a Target parking lot in Wylie after threatening to take his own life.

Richards is being held on $1 million bond.
