Dana White Makes Dramatic U-Turn On Jake Paul Competing In The UFC

Dana White Makes Dramatic U-Turn On Jake Paul Competing In The UFC

UFC president Dana White and Jake Paul have been embroiled in a bitter feud.

Dana White has refused to rule out allowing Jake Paul to fight in the UFC despite the two being involved in a heated feud.

Outspoken Paul has repeatedly gone after the UFC president, accusing him of being addicted to cocaine and not paying his fighters fairly.

He also said he would retire from boxing if White increased fighter pay.

In response, White called for Paul to take a steroid test for the next two years as the back and forth between them got seriously spicy.

The 5-0 fighter has knocked out two of White's former fighters in Ben Askren and Tyron Woodley and has called out stars like Conor McGregor, Jorge Masvidal and Kamaru Usman.

White has always been pretty dismissive of letting Paul compete in the Octagon but he seems to have changed his tune - even if he doesn't intend on talking about him again.

“It’s not that he doesn’t have my respect, I don’t even know the kid," White told the FULL SEND podcast.

"To be honest with you, right here right now, this is the last time you’ll hear me talking about him. I’m done with it.

“Would I let him (in the UFC)? Well, he can do whatever he wants to do. I don’t know. I don’t think that would ever happen but listen, I never say never anymore."

Paul recently turned 25 and celebrated by posting a steamy nude picture with his other half Julia Rose - in addition to naming his five goals for the year.

One of the targets was to "expose bully Dana" and "help fighters", while another was to help grow women's boxing through his promoting of WBC, WBO, and IBO female featherweight champion Amanda Serrano.

He had offered White big money to let him fight Masvidal in the UFC, as well as the boxing ring.

But 'Gamebred', who briefly trained with Paul ahead of his bout with Askren, has no interest whatsoever and feels a fight would tarnish his reputation.

"To like bring somebody over and yeah, I get it [Jake Paul's] like famous in some metaverse world but in my world, they don't give a f*** about it," he said on the MMA hour.

"You know how long I've been doing this sport? You can see all my fights online. I've really been doing this close to 20 years professionally now. Who the f*** is this Jake Paul guy bro? Out of my face man."

Paul is said to have made $40 million from boxing before taxes last year and has become one of the biggest yet most controversial names in the sport.

He hinted towards a switch to MMA when he posted a clip of him training leg kicks.
