Louisville's West End gets two new free COVID-19 test sites. Here's what to know.

St. Stephen Church and Shively City Hall are now offering COVID-19 testing, the Louisville Health Department announced Friday. 

The church will host a drive-thru site at 1018 South 15th St. Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Sunday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. 

The Shively site will offer indoor testing at 3920 Dixie Highway from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on these dates:

  • Jan. 21
  • Jan. 24-26
  • Feb. 1
  • Feb. 4
  • Feb. 8
  • Feb. 11
  • Feb. 15
  • Feb. 18
  • Feb. 22
  • Feb. 25

People seeking testing at either location should bring an ID with them. No appointments are required for the free rapid and PCR tests.

"Testing is a powerful tool against the extremely contagious omicron variant and we're committed to making it accessible to residents across the community, with the same focus on equity as with vaccinations," Mayor Greg Fischer said in a statement.
