Headquartered in King of Prussia, ImageFIRST, the largest provider of linen and laundry services for the healthcare industry, recently announced the acquisition of Pratt Abbott Uniform & Linen in Greater Portland, Maine. This marks the first facility for the company in the state of Maine, reported ImageFIRST.

Pratt Abbott Uniform & Linen was first founded in 1944 and has established itself as the leading provider of hospitality linen and uniform services to the Northern New England area.

ImageFIRST and Pratt Abbott Uniform & Linen customers will be served by both facilities, allowing for greater processing capabilities and creating more job opportunities in the region.

All existing leadership and employees are being retained in the transaction.

“As we continue to explore opportunities nationally, we recognized the exceptional medical facilities in Maine were missing a linen provider of the same caliber,” said Jim Cashman, president and CEO. “By merging the expertise of our new partner with the industry-leading expertise from ImageFIRST, we will be able to bring a superior level of service to even more healthcare facilities in Northern New England.”

With the Maine acquisition, ImageFIRST will now have an extensive service footprint throughout New England area with a total of nine locations in the region.
