The second chapter in the fashion fairytale that is the Gucci x The North Face collaboration has just landed – and there are quite a few surprises in store.
First up, the brands have opted for a rather unlikely star to front the collab: TikTok’s 21-year-old trainspotting sensation, Francis Bourgeois. In his modelling debut, Bourgeois made the most of his love of all things locomotive for the new campaign – playing a train announcer who welcomes models decked in Gucci X The North Face on a fantastical journey through the Alps.
The collection itself picks up where the last left off, focusing on the spirit of exploration and discovery with a high-fashion twist. Think monogrammed, heavy-duty boots perfect for outdoor activities, as well as practical overalls, trousers and accessories which have undergone extreme Guccification, with colourful prints and stylish details. Plus, a few new iterations of the sell-out puffer jacket.
Those who missed out on the collection the first time around would do well to move fast, with many of the pieces selling quickly and research from Design Bundles showing that Bourgeois' involvement has already led to a 1,351% increase in searches for the collab – and the new puffer jackets in particular. Not to mention all the celebrities and style stars who have already been spotted wearing pieces from the latest drop...
