AC Milan are hoping to be able to announce the renewal of Theo Hernandez soon as the parties are close to an agreement, according to a report.

This morning’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews) dedicates a section to Theo’s renewal titled: ‘Milan, Theo and the renewal: the countdown starts’. For weeks there have been negotiations over the renewal of his contract involving his agent and the Rossoneri management, and they have been going well.

The Frenchman should extend until 2026 with a salary of €4.5-5m net per season, compared to the €1.5m that he currently receives. It is a recognition from the club for the player’s value, which has grown considerably since his arrival in Milan.

In the media Theo continues to talk about Milan and the management in the best possible way which suggests that things are moving in the right direction, but of course it is important to turn that into a signature on paper.
