‘Stairway to Heaven’ Star Choi Ji Woo In Talks to Join Lee Sung Kyung and Kim Young Dae in New Drama ‘Shooting Stars’
Hallyu star Choi Ji Woo is rumored to make a Kdrama comeback, joining lead stars Lee Sung Kyung and Kim Young Dae in tvN's "Shooting Star."
According to News 1 Korea, the "Stairway to Heaven" star is courted to join the cast of the upcoming rom-com series.
Choi Ji Woo Offered to Appear as one of 'Shooting Star' Cast
With this, tvN shared to Maeil Business Star Today that the 46-year-old South Korean beauty is positively reviewing the offer.
If Choi Ji Woo officially agrees, she will portray the role of Eun Si Woo, a renowned actress during the 90s.
"Shooting Star" will be her Kdrama comeback after headlining the 2017 series "The Most Beautiful Goodbye."
Interestingly, she surprised the viewers when she had a cameo role in the blockbuster Kdrama "Crash Landing on You" in 2019.
To recall, Choi Ji Woo played the role of herself and Yoon Se Ri's (Son Ye Jin) close friend.
'Shooting Star' Cast, Release Date and More
The soon-to-be-released rom-com series is among the forthrunner Kdramas of tvN for 2022.
Helmed by the "Awaken" and "The Witch's Diner" director Lee Soo Hyun, Lee Sung Kyung and Kim Young Dae's new Kdrama follows the interesting lives of people behind-the-scenes in the entertainment industry.
In "Shooting Stars," the model turned actress took on the role of Oh Han Byul, a public relations team leader who will be working alongside the brightest stars.
She is known in the PR world as someone who is good at communication publicity and can handle a difficult crisis flawlessly.
Meanwhile, Kim Young Dae will be an A-list celebrity named Gong Tae Sung.
He works alongside Oh Han Byul and their agency's poster boy.
Due to his undeniable charm and positive image, Gong Tae Sung is well-loved by fans; however, little did they know that the actor was competitive and quite short-tempered.

On the other hand, production company Studio Dragon's Chief Producer So Jae Hyun hints at the chemistry between the two rising stars and would deliver entertainment to viewers.

tvN's "Shooting Star" is scheduled to release its much-awaited premiere in June 2022.
Choi Ji Woo to Headline Upcoming Thriller Drama 'Goosebumps'
Apart from the forthcoming rom-com series, Choi Ji Woo confirmed her appearance in Kakao TV's original drama "Goosebumps."
The Hallyu star will be portraying Hyun Jung, whose face is head-turning but has a lot of secrets.
Interestingly, "Goosebumps" will also air in 2022, which means fans will see more of Choi Ji Woo on the small screen.
